Imvubu Lodge

Imvubu Lodge, our largest and most luxurious lodge, lies on the Southern bank of the Yothu River just eight metres from the water’s edge. With a North facing aspect and large elevated timber deck it offers uninterrupted views downriver to Hippo Dam and across the water into open grasslands frequented by an abundance of bird and game species. The dam is home to a family of Hippopotami and Nile Crocodile. The crocs are often seen basking on the riverbanks while the hippos usually play in the water at dusk before venturing out to feed.

Sleeping up to 10 guests in four ensuite bedrooms, conveniently separated in a 6/4 ratio by an expansive open plan living and dining area integrated into a fully equipped kitchen, this spacious self-catering lodge makes itself the ultimate home away from home for the large or extended family, multiple families, multiple singles, or a host of options in-between all wanting to relish the African Zululand wildlife experience together. With a minimum occupancy requirement of 5, you are assured of the exclusive use of the lodge for your booking party.

Situated in the Eastern part of the reserve, Imvubu Lodge is conveniently located within a short distance from the main road and is accessible from the Zulweni Main Gate.
